I think you are a bit off there...Basil Rathbone IS Sherlock Holmes. ;)

I agree that both Rathbone & Brett made a great Sherlock Holmes, but I associate Brett more with Sherlock Holmes and like the essentric odd behavior of Brett as Sherlock, which to me seemed more realistic for a "genius" detective and it made his character more interesting. Downey Jr for me does not really fit the Sherlock profile as he is neither british, essentric, serious or emotionally engaged enough and was to me a disappointing cast alongside the better Watson fit Jude Law. Do you find this valuable?

I just never liked Jeremy...he was a bit boring. I just always thought Rathbone was the best Sherlock Holmes there ever has been and ever will be (alongside Benedict Cumberbatch). But I think Jude Law is the best Watson I have seen in a long time. He does excellent in that role. ;) 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Pff. How could you think Brett was boring? D: He was always so lively to me.
Benedict makes an excellent Holmes as well... I can't wait until the second season of his series.
...I love Jude Law as Watson. He is amazing and really gets into character. Do you find this valuable?

Jeremy Brett and Basil Rathbone - each in a league of their own. Nobody does it better than Brett......but then...... Basil Rathbone in black & white on the Grimpen Mire - iconic ....I can't decide. Jude Law however........best Watson I've ever seen. Do you find this valuable?
