But you stick to his side no matter what anybody says...I haven't heard much from Mr. Anonymous about his love for Jeremy Brett's acting other than from what he said in this thread... :) Do you find this valuable?

"Forever Jeremy Brett!"
Let just say these two are the best
did u see the poll result on "all u need to know about sherlock holmes"? it shocked me! except the obvious superiority of brett and rathbone , Vasily Livanov, the Russian actor, took the third place!! whereas Christopher lee and peter cushing didn't gain many vote

Vasily Livanov wasn't that bad of a Holmes. I liked his acting. But it is shocking that he was able to take third. Was Ronald Howard on the list? Do you find this valuable?

yes and ironically ronald howard gain even less than Christopher lee and peter cushing
when I ask members why the result was so, one of russian members said something interesting:
"As for me, he is not that brilliant in portraying Holmes. But the thing is that in Russia propaganda is still very strong. Some newspaper launched a kind of myth that in the whole world Livanov's Holmes is acknowledged as the very best. So, the majority of Russian viewers just haven't watched any other versions. The excuse is as following: "Well, they say OUR Holmes is the best!""
