I would choose Sean Connery for Watson. No idea who I would choose for Holmes though - he is a special character.Do you find this valuable? |

I think the English actor Kenneth Brannagh might make a decent Watson, and I'm thinking a young Anthony Hopkins or even Orlando Bloom at a push - lots of people really. Ian Hart deserves a mention, he's played Watson twice and made a good job of it in my opinion. As for Holmes well the only person I can think of who's anywhere near looking like him is Richard E Grant who was in one of the Baskervilles. As for a Hollywood A-lister well I can't think of anyone who could look like Holmes. I'm really please Robert Downey Junior was picked for the new film though. I like him a lot and I think he certainly creates an impact on screen whatever he is in.

Orlando Bloom...interesting choice! I like the idea of Richard E. Grant for Holmes. And I was shocked when I heard that RDJ was playing Holmes. That was an interesting choice! But still...I think he will be a good Holmes! Do you find this valuable? |

I don't know why I said Orlando Bloom ! But, well ... it could work!!! Daniel Craig could make a good Colonel Sebastian Moran when he's finished his stint as James Bond.
