The Serrated Scalpel is a Sherlock Holmes video game published in 1992 by Electronic Arts.


Description:

It is the year 1888, Sherlock Holmes, The worlds best detective, and his faithful companion Dr. Watson, are called to the scene of a murder: a young actress has been murdered in an alley behind a theatre.
Scotland Yard thinks this is a murder by Jack the Ripper. But Sherlock Holmes don't think so -- he thinks it is the work of another murderer. Help find this murderer throughout 19th Century London. Can you do it?


Reception:

This game hasn't received much ratings, since it was released before most sites were made. But has received some ratings including a 4.0 out of 5.0 from MobyGames, and an 8.2 from Gamespot's users.


Main Characters:

Sherlock Holmes: The famous detective who lives at 221b Baker Street with his loyal friend, Dr. John H. Watson.


Dr. Watson: The loyal friend and associate of Sherlock Holmes. He also lives at 221b Baker Street.


Inspector Lestrade: One of the Scotland Yard inspectors who appeared in many of the Holmes stories, and is described by Holmes as the best of the Scotland Yard inspectors.


Jack the Ripper: The possible murderer in this case. He was a murderer in 1888 in London, and was never caught by the police.
