Hi! I would like to know the location of some scene in Sherlock tv show. In the first episode of second season Sherlock met with Adler. Previously we could see that woman in a street before entered in a house with number 44. Then we could see Sherlock and Watson in the door of the house. I want to know the name of this street. I was in London last summer and the street is really familiar for me. Could someone help me?

Have you checked out the Sherlock Holmes Hotel in London? I stayed there the other week and spent my evenings sat in a big armchair in front of the fire reading Arthur Conan Doyle books! Now that's my idea of a holiday.

Never thought I could enjoy Holmes as much as when I watched Jeremy Brett but Benedict Cumberbatch has proved me wrong, wow, the hound episode was genius, especially the sequence with the security light. I think this should have been a movie instead of the tripe dished up by Robert Downey jnr.

In my opinion both have their merits and are both very good and have invigorated an already good character. I would say that there are elements in the second series of Sherlock which have been improved by similar usage of aspects used in the films.

Hey guys!
To celebrate the release of the new movie, 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows', we have completely re-styled the site. It features a brand new banner, and a new site style (seen before on this site).
The banner was based on this post for the new movie: http://www.iwatchstuff.com/2011/11/30/sherlock-holmes-game-of-shadows-poster-final.jpg

You keep listing the hat and coat as a good thing, but the fashion-conscious Holmes would never commit such a sartorial faux pas; the deerstalker is traditionally a rural outdoorsman's cap, not the appropriate headgear for the properly dressed urban gentleman. Indeed, Paget and the other contemporaneous illustrators who portrayed Holmes as wearing a deerstalker always placed him in the proper setting for such attire, traveling cross-country or operating in a rural outdoor setting.

I can't remember thinking that it felt inappropriate for Sherlock to wear the hat and coat.

Holmes, with his keen eyes ever observant, was carefully examining the bloody pieces of the corpse strewn along the highway. The butcher had obviously enjoyed his mangleing of the body. Holmes whispered fearfully to his colleague "Guard yourself, Watson. There is an evil hand, afoot, ahead!"

...okay. I am freaking out too much right now to explain how amazing this movie was. When I calm down a bit, I will be more than happy to explain key factors that truly make this movie epic all-around. All I can say right now is that I died laughing, crying, and my chair died from me digging my nails into it from the suspenseful/intense moments.

-- Anyway, back on topic...Rathbone had so much alike with Holmes. He is almost an exact clone. I am telling you what...him as Holmes and Jude Law as Watson would make a killer movie. :D" I wouldn't mind seeing that. But anything with Jude Law is amazing. ;-; Especially Law as Watson. That is just epic win. Let us make this killer movie!

Exactly. It was never in the books, so it should not show up now. It is the pathetic junk our world is known for. Sadly, they have to do it to Sherlock Holmes. Stick to your Harry Potter and leave us alone Hollywood!

He didn't find the hound, he bought it in London and used phosphorous to make the hound glow like the one from the legend. Also; Stapleton (who was truly the son of the late Rodger Baskerville) died when he tried to flee from Holmes - he evidently drowned in the mud of Grimpen Mire, because he couldn't find his way through due to heavy fog.

Amazon are doing the set for £118, but also list a seller offering it for £75 new. Admittedly he only has 13 sales to his name so far, but maybe worth a look?
